Journalists Guild of Pulwama Holds Crucial Meeting to Strengthen Support for District Journalists

Pulwama: The Journalists Guild of Pulwama, under the leadership of its President, Javid Sofi, held a significant meeting to address the needs and challenges faced by journalists in the district.

 During this gathering, all members unanimously pledged to work towards fostering a supportive and conducive environment that enables journalists to perform their duties effectively .

A unanimous decision was made during the meeting to nullify previous affiliations with other associations, with members reaffirming their commitment to the Journalists Guild of Pulwama.

In an effort to continuously enhance the skills and knowledge of its members, it was proposed that the Guild will organize monthly workshops focusing on contemporary issues and challenges relevant to journalism.

One of the key resolutions of the meeting was the decision to conduct free and fair elections for the association’s representatives.

 This step will follow the consolidation and streamlining of the association’s operations to ensure effective governance and representation.

The members also expressed their dedication to bridging the gap between the administration and the public, working towards the common goal of achieving a progressive society.

The meeting was attended by several distinguished journalists, including Javid Sofi (Interim President), Tanha Ayaz (Spokesperson), Bilal Khan, Nisar ul Haq Allie, Mushtaq ul Islam, Ashiq Hussain, Mir Zeeshan, Adil Shahnawaz, Asif Gania, Kaiser Mir, Altaf Hussain, Zahid Chat, Firdous Ahmad, Tawseef Khan, Reshi Irshad, and Shabir Ahmad.
