Oasis Movement conducted a 3-Day Jyotirdhar workshop

Oasis Movement, a pioneering organization conducted self Leadership workshops for Principals of Higher Secondary Schools. The workshop was conducted at Scert Srinagar and Jammu from 21st to 23rd, November. Three young and dynamic Principals were selected from each district of Jammu and Kashmir for these high impact workshops. The workshops were 2nd in a series of workshops to be completed in three years.
Impact on Hoi’s: This ray of light made an entry in the educational horizon of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir in 2016. Sheba Nair, the Trustees of Oasis Movement introduced her vision of a value based module to then Director and Commissioner Secretary, who lost no time in approving and Workshops were held in Jammu, Kashmir and also for twin districts of Ladakh. The impact on participants was so strong that they themselves became part of a change and committed to pay it forward. An atmosphere of trust was created and participant Principals acknowledged that the workshops have changed their paradigms and helped them in opening their windows of heart. As Oasis believes in ” the heart of education is the education of heart “. Successive workshops were conducted and the participants admit in their feedback forms that these workshops are the first in our career that touched our hearts and prepare to become men of integrity, honesty, commitment and empathy. The boss concept lost its relevance in their educational institutions.
Leadership Role: These include mission, vision and values to be translated into the principles or drivers of execution— clarity, commitment, enabling, synergy and accountability. The workshop helped in personal growth and in developing leadership qualities.
Key Principles: The workshop enables the participants to know the key principles of learning. Learning is a life long process and for learning one must be willing to pay the price. For learning willingness is a precondition.
The feedback from the participants is very encouraging. The participants admitted that Oasis workshops are transformative and not only brings a person close to himself by empowering heart, but enthuses in them character to spend a value based life. These workshops help in becoming a good human being and undoubtedly shapes the future of young generation. We are grateful to worthy Principal Secretary SED for his visionary approach and humble support and also to both Directors of education for their cooperation and whole hearted support in making our programs successful.
