A GRAND “TAZKIRA” CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY ALL KARGIL STUDENTS ASSOCIATION DELHI, (AKSAD).
The All Kargil Students Association Delhi(AKSAD) organized a memorable conference titled “Tazkira,” paying tribute to three great personalities of the Ladakh region—late Lama Lobzang, late Abdul Ghani Sheikh, and late Abdul Hameed Tanveer. The conference, a unique educational and intellectual gathering, was attended by a large number of students, teachers, professors, and dignitaries.
DISTINGUISHED GUESTS OF THE CONFERENCE
Several notable figures from the region graced the occasion as guests, including Haji Hanifa Jan (Member of Parliament), Dr. Jafar Akhoon (Chairman, Chief Executive Council, Kargil), and Akhoon Qamar Ali (Chairman, KDA Kargil). These esteemed personalities emphasized the importance of the conference in their speeches and commended the students for their intellectual efforts, considering it a significant step towards the region’s academic and cultural progress.

Maulana Jawad Habib
A renowned Islamic scholar, Maulana Jawad Habib delivered a detailed address on the literary, academic, and social contributions of the late Abdul Hameed Tanveer. He highlighted that Tanveer’s writings and ideas remain a guiding light for contemporary times.
Professor Archana Ojha
Professor Archana Ojha elaborated on the life and cultural, religious, and social contributions of the late Lama Lobzang, acknowledging his invaluable service to the region.
Maulana Feroz Rabbani
Maulana Feroz Rabbani highlighted the academic and literary endeavors of the late Abdul Ghani Sheikh. He spoke about his books and research works, which have left a positive impact on society.
Mr. Tashi Motup Kao
Representing the Ashoka Mission, Mr. Tashi Motup Kao praised the services of Lama Lobzang and recognized him as an exemplary figure for humanity.
LAUNCH OF THE MAGAZINE “KARWAN-E-UMEED”
During the conference, a magazine titled Karwan-e-Umeed was launched, showcasing various academic and literary topics related to the region. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Dr. Ejaz Hussain, Anwar Hussain, Dr. Ratke, Professor Muhammad Hassan, Dr. Iqbal, and Dr. Bashir, who applauded this intellectual endeavor.
CONCLUDING REMARKS
Haji Hanifa Jan, in his address, urged the students to actively engage in social service and academic pursuits.
