Hashmi condoles the demise of Legendary Poet Farooq Nazki 

SRINAGAR :- The Prominant Sociopolitical activist and Student of Hauza-Ilmia Qom Syed Karar Hashmi paid rich condolences over the passing away of legendary poet, Sahitya Academy Award Winner, Deputy Director General of Doordarshan and a distinguished personality in broadcasting and academic field Mr Farooq Nazki.

In a condolences message Hashmi said that late Nazki was known Known for his visionary leadership and profound scholarly contributions, Ustad Farooq Nazki of far-flung village Mardar of Bandipora will always be remembered across India. Early in his broadcasting career, he performed as ‘Ramba’ in Radio Kashmir Srinagar’s legendary program ‘Zonadb’ in the 1970s and 1980s.

He said that he early in the morning heard from his beloved Uncle Syed Sarwar Hashmi that Farooq Nazki passed away at Shri Mata Vishnu Devi Super Specialty Hospital, Katra, Jammu after prolonged illness and they offer their heartfelt condolences to all the bereaved family members.

He observed that Farooq Nazki played an important role in shaping the landscape of public broadcasting in India. Beyond his professional achievements, he was revered as a mentor and father figure to many. May Allah Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace, and may his contributions continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
