Tehran   :– The official website of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has protested against Instagram’s move to block Ayatollah Khamenei’s pages.

“Based on media reports, Instagram has blocked certain pages associated with Ayatollah Khamenei’s website because of the support for the oppressed people of Palestine,” Ayatollah Khamenei’s page on X said in a statement on Tuesday.

It added that Khamenei.ir has protested against the move, calling on Instagram to respect professional standards.

Meta removed the Persian- and English-language accounts belonging to Ayatollah Khamenei earlier this month following intensified pressure from pro-Israel groups.

The Supreme Leader’s Persian-language account had more than 5.1 million followers and his English-language account had more than 204,000.
