BJP’s Tarun Chugh Challenges NC’s Farooq Abdullah’s Narrative on J&K Development
Srinagar : In a recent statement, BJP’s Tarun Chugh, who oversees J&K affairs for the party, took aim at NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, accusing him of misinforming the public and spreading propaganda against the Modi government’s initiatives in the region.
Chugh asserted that the Modi government has brought about significant development and progress in J&K, which has seemingly unsettled Farooq Abdullah. Chugh suggested that Abdullah’s perspective is clouded by outdated political ideologies, urging him to embrace the positive changes unfolding in the region instead of clinging to past narratives.
Highlighting the strides made since the abrogation of Article 370, Chugh emphasized the emergence of J&K as a hub of opportunities and growth, with improvements in various sectors including tourism, infrastructure, and employment prospects for the youth.
Regarding Omar Abdullah’s decision to contest LS polls from north Kashmir, Chugh interpreted it as a strategic move by the NC, indicating their acknowledgment of waning support in Srinagar. He characterized it as a tacit admission of defeat and a reflection of the changing political landscape in the region.
