Chairperson BDC Chuchot, officials of ALTOA/ALHGHA call on LG Mathur to raise issues
Leh, Jan 10: Chairperson, Block Development Council, Chuchot Block, Saira Bano, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas today.
Chairperson BDC Chuchot, Saira Bano, raised several issues related to the block, viz. early approval of the plan for laying footpaths in Chuchot; early approval of the Special Development Plan (SDP) for the execution of various developmental project works in the block, etc.
- A delegation from All Ladakh Tour Operators Association (ALTOA) led by its President, Deleks Namgyal and Vice-President, All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALHGHA), Sonam Parvez, met LG Mathur. They requested for intervention in taking up the matter of extending Market Development Assistance (MDA) scheme with the Ministry of Tourism to enable the tourism service providers of Ladakh to avail the benefit of the scheme for the promotion of tourism activities in overseas travel promotional events. They also requested for the need for intervention in the SOPs issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs so that tourists can be allowed to halt at night at Hanley and other border areas for wildlife tourism.
