Republic Day 2023: Full dress rehearsal held across District Pulwama.

In connection with Republic-Day celebration-2023, full dress rehearsal was today held at District Police Line Pulwama. The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual Republic Day parade scheduled to be held on 26th of January 2023. Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Ab. Aziz Sheikh hoisted National Flag and took salute at the march past comprising contingents from CRPF, District Police, IRP, JKP Womens Wing, Home guard, Commandant forces, Band squad and School children from various educational institutes.
Speaking on occasion, ADDC congratulated the people on the coming 74th Republic Day and hailed the rich heritage of the District. He highlighted various developmental works and achievements of the District particularly the establishment of AIIMS and IUST in the District. He said that Pulwama leads in the saffron which is world famous crop cultivated in the District adding that District has potential to make the District economically vibrant and self-sufficient in various products. He appealed concerned to hoist National Flag on every Govt. and Public building to mark this Republic Day.

On the occasion, local artists presented Cultural Programmes, Patriotic Songs and Skits. However artists from Information Department and Youth services and sports also mesmerized the function with patriotic songs.

Senior officers from Police and civil Administration, School children and large number of people were present on the occasion.

Similar function was held at DPL Awantipora where ADC Awantipora Mr. Zaffer Ahmad Shawl hoisted flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children
