Iran Proud of Peaceful Coexistence among Islamic Sects
IRAN – The Secretary General of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) said,” The Islamic Republic of Iran is proud of the peaceful coexistence among its Shiites and Sunnis citizens.”
The Secretary General of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Hujjat al -Islam Hamid Shahriari had a meeting with Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Noor Mofidi, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Golestan province on Tuesday, February 14 during which he stated,” The Sunni community is standing by the Islamic revolution and its goals, and the Islamic system also firmly believes in religious convergence.”
The Secretary General of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought further stated that the Front of Disbelief and Atheism has prepared projects in order to undermine the Revolution Front; the enemy is trying to create division and strife in Iran by using the lever of pressure. To realize their sinister plans, they use any tools and levers.”
He added,” After the unity conference was held in Sanandaj city of Iran, a joint discourse was formed, because many people had the opportunity to speak and their sense of identity and convergence was strengthened. With the successful holding of the Unity Conference in Kurdistan Province, many evil plans of the enemies were thwarted and it created wide-ranging effects between Shia and Sunni scholars and clerics.”
