Delhi Police emerged as world’s best police force in last 75 years; Amit Shah
CITY REPORTER NEWS DESK,16-Feb; Home Minister Amit Shah today said the Delhi Police has emerged as the world’s best police force in the last 75 years. He said, it has changed its complete functioning. Shah was addressing the 76th Raising Day Parade of Delhi Police event in New Delhi.
Remembering the Police ecosystem, Shah said that before Independence, the Police work was not focusing on citizens’ services. Police only ensured the interests of the British. He said, after Independence, Delhi Police Service moved forward with the sources of Peace, Service and Justice.
As per reports on the occasion, Shah launched the online verification platform for passport applicants. It will help citizens to get a police verification certificate for their passport in 5 days through the facility. He also dedicated five Mobile Forensic vehicles to citizens at the event. Several Delhi Police officials also have been conferred by the Union Home Minister at the event.(CNS)
