DC Pulwama Dr Basharat Qayoom holds interactive session with Media .

Urges Media to play its role in nation building and positive change more vibrantly and vigorously.

CITY REPORTER Pulwama, 08 May : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama , Dr Basharat Qayoom holds an interactive meeting with media persons of the district here on Monday .The representatives from the print and electronic media interacted with the Deputy Commissioner and raised issues of public importance.

.While interacting, Deputy Commissioner , Dr Basharat Qayoom said that media is a significant pillar in democracy for deliverance of transparent and accountable governance to people.

He urged Media to play its role in nation building and positive change more vibrantly and vigorously.

He said district administration is always available and accessible for coordination with all stakeholders who are directly or indirectly engaged in promoting positivity , peace and wellbeing of people.

He added that media is the connecting link between the people and government and it is the prerogative of media fraternity to share responsibility in spreading positivity and creation of good will. He further added that media has vital role in countering fake and false news besides highlighting the Govt welfares schemes and flagship programs.
