Dr. Tassaduq Hussain, Director School Education Kashmir, Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Deep Raj, Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director Finance SED, Iftikhar Hussain, Manisha Sareen, Secretary JK BOSE, Anu behl Special Secretary Parshotam Kumar, JDP, Subha Mehta, JD SED, graced the occasion besides, other officers Bilal Rashid Deputy Director Planning, Jagdeep Padha, CEO Jammu, Mamta Sharma, Deputy Director(P), Vikas Bhgati Personnel Officer, attended the 02 day’s cultural event showcasing the extra ordinary talent of students of various schools functioning across the UT.
Addressing the gathering, Project Director Samagra Shiksha Deep Raj, said that, efforts are being made to encourage students to participate in different Co-Curricular activities in addition to their regular education so that they may popularize the names of their parents, areas and regions and may become a source of inspiration for others.
While talking about the programme, Mr. Deep Raj intimated around 4100 Students from 1917 Schools of various areas participated in Kala-Utsav competitions across the UT and out of which 40 Students were selected at UT level and among them, 20 have been selected for National level, today by a team of judges belonging to various higher Institutions linked with the Cultural promotion. The access of each and every student to quality education is our priority and Samagra Shiksha is committed to mobilise all its resources to attain this cherished goal under the dynamic leadership of our Principal Secretary, Deep Raj said. He assured that Samagra Shiksha will continue to facilitate such programmes in future too.
As per the News Agency Current News of India (CNI) Addressing in a glittering award ceremony function of UT level Kala-Utsav- 2023, organised by Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K, Alok Kumar, expressed the need of promoting art in education at all levels. He said that efforts have been made, to improve the potential of the Students participating in cultural events.
He reiterated that, there is need to recognise the importance of aesthetics and artistic experiences for our students which play a major role in creating awareness of the rich cultural heritage and the vibrant diversity of our UT and the country”. While emphasising the need of organising such programmes on regular basis at school level, Kumar shared that the aim of Education is not only to preserve and transmit our diverse cultural integrities to coming generation but its transformation is far more significant. He maintained that, School education department is providing better platforms to children for showcasing their talent in different fields.
He expressed his gratitude to all the participating students for displaying their scintillating performances. He also informed that, under the prestigious scheme PM SHRI Schools, Art Studios shall be established to give a boost to the Cultural activities. Such programmes provide platform for our budding youth to judge their aptitude in comparison with the students of other parts of country” he added. While highlighting the significance of art in the present era, Kumar also praised the efforts of Teachers for their tireless work and Samagra Shiksha team, for making Kala Utsav-2023 a grand success.
Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu, extended his gratitude to all the students who participated in this year’s Kala-Utsav at different levels. He also thanked the teachers, CEOs, Cultural wings at District and Divisional level for their relentless efforts in making this year’s event a grand success. Tassaduq Hussain, Director School Edu. Kashmir, in his brief address stressed the need to up-bring the potential of students in the field of art and culture at institutional level. He stressed on the need of bringing awareness among masses especially the parents, so that no child remains un-educated and unattended.
At the end of the programme, awards were distributed among runners and winning students (20 Nos) under various categories. Aaradhya Sharma, DPS Udhampur, Sahil Mehra, BHSS Udhampur, Amaan Ullah, G. Goenka, Daneesha Devi, GHSS BASANTGARH, Abeer DPS Athwajan, Rubby, GGHS, Kathua, Ali Shabir, DPS Athwajan, Anshika Sharma, APS Janglot, Pragati Mishra APS kathua, Janveer Aryan,HSS Boys Kishtwar, SOHIL JAVID GBHS Poonch, Anshika Sardalia, Brahmrishi Bawra, Udhampur, Hyya Mallinson School, MOHD IMRAN GBHS Poonch Poonch, Simran Verma GHSS Akhnoor, NUTAN SYAL, Himalayan Education Mission, HSS RAJOURI, GMHSS Billawar, Narinder, GHS Khairi, Syed Qabbad, BHSS Zadibal, Falak Naaz GHSS Magam got First positions in 20 categories.
Among others who remained present during the event included, Prem Nath, Ajeet Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, DEPO, Mr. Billoria, Mr. Ashok Dy. CEO, Dr. Naveen katoch (Nodal Officer) and other officials of School Education Department. Bilal Rashid, Deputy Director Planning, presented welcome address and Miss.
