National Teachers Award 2024: Droupadi Murmu To Award 50 Teachers
New Delhi, CNI: On the occasion of National Teachers’ Day, on September 5, a total of 50 educators from across the country will be given the National Teachers Award 2024. This event will be held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi where President Draupadi Murmu will present the award to the teachers.
The purpose of the National Award to Teachers 2024 in Higher Educational Institutions is to acknowledge the distinctive contributions of some of the finest faculty members in India and honour their efforts in bringing change in the life of students impacting the overall education system. A cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with a silver medal and certificate is bestowed on winners.
Among the 50 teachers, two are from Uttar Pradesh, two teachers from Madhya Pradesh, and two teachers from Bihar. Let’s take a look at the list of teachers who have been selected for the National Teachers Award 2024:

Every year, eligible and interested candidates submit the application forms for the National Teacher’s Award 2024. The award is open to all the faculty members of colleges, universities, higher educational institutions as well as polytechnics across the country.
The selection procedure for the National Teachers Award 2024 is a two-step process. It includes a preliminary search cum screening committee for initial shortlisting of candidates followed by forming a committee of ‘jury’ which selects the final section of awardees from the shortlisted candidates.
