Assembly Election Big Opportunity for J&K People to Get Rid of Existing Plight: Tarigami
Srinagar : CPI (M) leader and former Kulgam MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Saturday said that the forthcoming Assembly Election is a big opportunity for the people of J&K to get rid of the existing “plight”.
Tarigami was talking to media in Kulgam where he said that people are besieged with myriad issues and the upcoming elections would be a chance for masses in the backdrop of closed doors, with no one to listen to.
“The Assembly elections are nearing amid an inordinary situation and the people should elect their representatives with utmost caution and understanding… there is a lot of sadness in people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as everything around us depicts the failure of government,” he said.
CPI (M) leader Tarigami also campaigned in various villages of Kulgam constituency from where he has filed his nomination papers for Assembly Elections.
In the prevailing circumstances, the secular parties need to come forward by narrowing down their differences in order to restore the statehood and to fight against the policies in operation since 2014 in J&K.
