GDC Zanskar students visit educational, research institutes, historical sites at Leh
Kargil, September 26 : The 5th semester students of Government Degree College Zanskar who are currently on a week-long comprehensive educational tour visited educational, research institutions and historical sites at Leh.
The students are on a week-long tour that commenced on September 23, 2024, and is scheduled to conclude on September 30, 2024.
The tour aims to provide students with practical exposure, broaden their academic horizons, and offer them valuable insights into the cultural and educational landscape of the region.
As part of this enriching journey, on Sept 24 and 25, 2024 the students visited several educational and research institutes, including the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh (HIAL), Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
These visits have provided the students with an opportunity to interact with experts and gain first-hand knowledge of innovative research and educational practices.
In addition to academic engagements, the students have also had the chance to explore iconic historical sites such as Leh Palace, Shey Palace, Shey Masjid and Alchi Choskor. These visits have allowed them to appreciate the rich cultural heritage and history of the region.
The students took their journey toward Nubra Valley today morning, where students will participate in an interactive session with their peers and faculty from Government Degree College Nubra. This engagement aims to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, experiences and culture among students of both the college.
Additionally the students will also explore historical places, including the picturesque Turtuk Village, known for its unique culture and history.
