Army Chief chairs Tri-services meeting in Udhampur, reviews operational prepared
Commends all ranks for professionalism, initiatives taken towards achieving synergy in ops
Jammu : Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Saturday chaired Tri-services meeting of the Army, Air Force and Navy in the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur to review the operational preparedness.
A defense spokesperson told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Army Chief was briefed about the operational preparedness under the area of responsibility, particularly in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
He said that the meeting was attended by senior officers of the Army, Air Force, Navy and also the Indo Tibet Border Police (ITBP).
The Indian Army, in a post on X, said that the Army Chief also chaired discussions aimed at further enhancing joint capability.
It said that General Upendra also inspected latest inducted state of the art weapons, equipment and other logistic assets. “He also commended all ranks of the Northern Command for their professionalism and the initiatives taken by the Command towards achieving synergy in operations.”
The meeting holds significance amid ease of tension between India and China after resumption of weekly joint coordinated patrols along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
Both countries have already completed the first round of joint patrols in early November following the recent disengagement in these areas.
