In a remarkable display of dedication, MLA Tanvir Sadiq has proven his unwavering commitment to the people of Zadibal constituency. Amid the season’s first snowfall, the MLA visited various areas within his constituency on foot throughout the day, including Bagh Ali Mardan Khan Sub Power Station, Mill Stop, Dargah Hazratbal,SKIMS Soura Shazgaripora, and Zadibal itself, to take firsthand stock of the situation.
This timely visit has been met with widespread appreciation from the people, as it demonstrates a genuine effort to address the pressing needs of the residents during the harsh winter months. The key concerns raised by the public are the frequent power outages beyond the scheduled power cuts, particularly in metered areas, and inadequate water supply in several interior areas of Zadibal.
In addition to these concerns, residents have also highlighted the urgent need to clear the interior lanes and outer roads of snow. The severe cold during the Chillai Kalan period leads to the freezing of snow on roads, making them dangerously slippery. This poses a serious risk to both vehicles and pedestrians, often leading to accidents. It is imperative that immediate measures are taken to ensure these roads are cleared to prevent such hazards.
The people of the region have lauded MLA Tanvir Sadiq’s decision to visit his constituency on foot, braving the cold and snow all day long. This not only demonstrated his commitment to understanding the challenges faced by the residents but also provided hope and assurance that their concerns will be addressed.
As a concerned citizen and social activist, I, Hakim Suhail Abbas Kashmiri, urge MLA Tanvir Sadiq and the NC government to ensure that the visit translates into real action. The pressing demands for reliable water and electricity supply, along with the clearing of snow from roads, must be addressed at the earliest to alleviate the suffering of the people in these challenging winter conditions.
Let this visit be a turning point in the timely fulfillment of these essential services, and a reminder of the responsibility elected representatives hold towards the welfare of their constituencies.
