Grand literary & felicitation seminar honoring religious luminaries organized at Tagore Hall
Mahasagar Shiksha Samiti Prayagraj & Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee Convenor J&K Imdad Saqi welcomed the guests
Srinagar :- A significant religious and literary seminar was organized by Mahasagar Shiksha Samiti Prayagraj in collaboration with the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee Lucknow and Inder Cultural Forum Sambal Sonawari.
Imdad Saqi, Mahasagar Shiksha Samiti Prayagraj & Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee Convenor for J&K and a renowned journalist, extended a warm welcome to all participants and highlighted the event’s mission.
“I see this seminar as a platform to honor those who devoted their lives to the betterment of humanity, with the goal of reviving the values of unity, tolerance and respect for all religions,” Saqi said.
This first-of-its-kind event brought together esteemed religious scholars, literary figures, and journalists from across the valley to celebrate the enduring legacy of religious leaders who contributed immensely to society.
The seminar commenced with the soulful recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Sharif, setting a serene tone for the day.
Hosted by the acclaimed actor Gulfam Barji, the event also saw Syed Shafqat Abbas Abidi, the chief organizer, elaborate on its objectives. He emphasized the need to acknowledge the wisdom and service of religious leaders while also referencing the efforts of Secretary Iftikhar Alam Khan in making the event possible.
The seminar paid tribute to several luminaries, including Ayatollah Agha Syed Yusuf Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi, Mirwaiz Kashmir Late Maulana Rasool Shah, Maulana Muhammad Jawad Ansari, Maulana Syed Muhammad Ashraf Andrabi, Agha Syed Ahmed Rizvi, and Ayatollah Agha Syed Muhammad Mosvi. Prominent scholars such as Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Thokar, M.S. Rehman Shams, Fahad Fida, and Agha Samiullah Jalali presented detailed papers on these figures, highlighting their contributions to shaping society. Journalist Bilal Furqani also presented an insightful paper on the future of Urdu journalism.
The seminar featured a mushaira (poetry session) where renowned poets from the valley showcased their literary prowess, adding depth and creativity to the event. Additionally, various scholars, literary personalities, and journalists were honored with awards and certificates for their contributions.
Concluding the seminar, Salim Yusuf, head of the Inder Cultural Forum, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, calling the event a resounding success. He emphasized the importance of organizing such events to foster unity and acknowledge the selfless contributions of religious and literary figures.
