Chairman JMC HSC inspects old city Jammu

Jammu,CNS, 06-Feb; Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Arun Khanna today inspected in ward number 6,7 and 19 of old city Jammu.

During his tour of the City, the Chairman went through various works being conducted in these wards. He along with Corporators of ward 6 Ghulam Mohiuddin (Kheemu), ward 7 Ritu Chowdhury and ward 19 Amit Gupta listened to the grievances of the locals of these areas and assured redressal on priority.

NBCC Project Engineer Niranjan Kumar, JMC, PHE officials and PDD officials were present.
Chairman along with locals of these areas applauded NBCC, Corporators and contractors of Trikuta hills construction for the completion of sewerage/ house connection project in old Jammu despite having hurdles of blocking of mining, Covid-lockdown, un-stability after Pulwama attack, abrogation of article-370 and non-availability of funds
The contractors present on the occasion informed chairman about the short width of lanes with PHE Pipes and drains and hurdles faced by them in completion of the same project. The locals present appreciated them for timely completion.

While adequate sanitary facilities were being maintained in most of the establishments, some others were lacking and the Chairman asked them to ensure that adequate sanitation is maintained in their premises.
He also asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation staff to undertake regular visits to the City and outskirts to check sanitation facilities.(CNS)
