Govt taking all measures to ease sufferings of people living in remote hamlets
Srinagar, 17-Feb: Government is taking all measures to ease the sufferings of people living in far flung areas of North Kashmir’s Kupwara and Bandipora districts.
that all efforts are on to either airlift the dead to these villages from district headquarters or evacuate the ailing patients to Srinagar or other district headquarters.
Pertinently, district administration Bandipora a couple of days ago performed the most difficult operation to evacuate a critically ill female patient from Gujran hamlet of Gurez valley close to Line of Control.
Such operations will continue till the inclement weather persists or roads remain blocked, said an official.
Locals in far off places like Tanghdar, Karnah and Gurez have been facing hardships due to disconnection from rest of Valley. Earlier dead bodies of three persons from Tanghdar hamlets had been stuck in Handwara.
Locals have been hoping that government will continue to take measures to ease their sufferings. (CNS)
