CITY REPORTER NEWS DESK,13-Mar; Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that during the last few years, a vibrant ecosystem has been created to empower the youth of India. A message by the Prime Minister which was readout at the National Youth Conclave at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said Government efforts are focused on connecting their hopes and expectations with the collective aspirations of the nation.

The 2-day Conclave started today will bring together young minds to deliberate on the Urban 20 (U20) and Youth 20 (Y20) priority areas under India’s G20 presidency.

Talking about the importance of ‘Amrit Kaal’ Modi said that It is an opportunity to fructify our collective resolve to build a glorious, developed and self-reliant nation. He said that this period is critical for the academic and professional growth of India’s youth.

Modi said that this conclave comes at a time when India has assumed the Presidency of G20. He also hoped that the assembly of young leaders at the National Youth Conclave 2023 ,will develop a futuristic, inclusive and humane perspective towards national as well as global issues.

Earlier, speaking at the event, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore said that Indian youth have the capability to take the country forward with its innovative ideas and skill. The Minister said India can only be developed if youth take the lead in the development activities.

He said skilling of youth is the need of the hours and that’s why Prime Minister Narendra Modi had created a dedicated ministry for this.

Raising concerns over indulgence of youth drugs activities, the Ministry asked the students to not indulge in such activities and said they should even work towards making India a drugs free country.

The ‘National Youth Conclave 2023 is being organised by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) in association with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Department of Youth Affairs.

The conclave will provide a platform for youth to discuss a wide gamut of issues, including environment, climate change, Urban Infrastructure, Democracy and Governance, and among others.(CNS)
