Day After Airlifted, J&K Police Inspector Masroor Wani Succumbs At AIIMS New Delhi
Srinagar : A day after being airlifted for advanced treatment, Police Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, who was critically shot by militants on October 29, has succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS New Delhi.
That Masroor Ahmad Wani succumbed to his injuries at the top hospital this afternoon.
“After being administered with best possible treatment at some hospitals reputed hospitals in Valley, it was decided to shift the official to AIIMS New Delhi”, the official said adding “Subsequently Mr. Wani was airlifted to the top hospital on Wednesday, where he passed away today.”
Pertinent to mention here that the police inspector was critically injured after militants fired at him in the Eidgah area of Srinagar in the last week of October this year, while he was playing cricket with local boys at Eidgah area in Srinagar.
