Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that two seats will be reserved for Kashmiri Migrant community members

New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that two seats will be reserved for Kashmiri Migrant community members and one for people displaced from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly.

Additionally, nine seats will be reserved for SC/ST communities.

The Home Minister asserted in the Parliament that 24 seats have been ‘reserved’ for Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), emphasizing Bharat’s claim over the territory.
