Langate,Dec,23:Geology and Mining department special team along with Handwara Police seized One JCB machine and two Tippers involved in illegal mining of material in different areas of Langate in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. That in its continue drive and action against illicit mining, extraction and transporting of minerals from different spots,He said.”On yesterday a joint team of Police Post Langate and Geology and Mining Department raided different locations across Langate at around 3:00pm to 7:00P seized 01JCB machine and twi tippers which were found involved in illicit/ unauthorised extraction of minerals from different spots.Meanwhile Geology and Mining department handover  JCB machine and both Tippers involved in illegal mining to Langate police.In this regard action under MMRD Act has been initiated.All members of the public are urged in public interest to adhere the law and terms and conditions of their permits, wherever applicable, and to not destroy the ecology of their areas by engaging in illicit mining of minerals otherwise strict action under law will be taken against them in future also.
