Srinagar, March 22: A few AAP workers were detained here on Friday when they tried to take out a protest march against the arrest of their party’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He said his workers gathered near the Press Enclave to protest against Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in New Delhi on Thursday night.

As the party members tried to take out the march, the police swung into action and dispersed them, officials said.

He further said that some protesters have been detained by the police.

Talking to reporters, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Nawab Nasir said that Kejriwal’s arrest is against democratic principles.

He said that this is a fight for democracy and we will win it eventually.

Nasir added that Kejriwal is an ideology that cannot be arrested.

“We want to tell (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi that his dictatorship will not work. Kejriwal is an ideology, an ideology. You can arrest him but you cannot arrest his ideas,” the AAP leader said. said before being manhandled by the police.
