Shortage of Medicines forces Gurez residents to suffer
Bandipora, Mar 24:- The residents of Gurez valley are suffering in absence of medicines in community hospital Gurez, saying the authorities are not serious in providing proper medical facilities to thousands of residents in the area.
One of the local resident from Kanzalwan while speaking with the media said that yesterday he visits hospital as he was feeling a pain in his heart. “There was not a single tablet in the hospital, doctors said he will write a medicine but that will be not available in whole Gurez,”.
Another local resident from the Kilshay area said that one of his relatives was admitted to hospital in two days. “From the last three days he has been bleeding through his throat and somehow doctors managed to control it,”.
The residents said the absence of medicines forces the residents to suffer and leave their home and visit Bandipora district hospital which is not possible as the 84 km road of Gurez-Bandipora is yet to open after heavy snowfall in the last month.
Locals appealed LG Administration and District Administration Bandipora to look into the matter and resolve their genuine issues.
