China has released more 30 names for places in Arunachal Pradesh

BEIJING: China has released a fourth list of 30 new names for various places in Arunachal Pradesh in what Beijing claims has been a reassertion of its claim over the Indian state in recent weeks.

Pradesh, asserting that the state is an integral part of the country and assigning “invented” names does not change that fact.

China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs released the fourth list of standard geographical names in Zingnan, the Chinese name for Arunachal Pradesh that Beijing claims as part of southern Tibet, the state-run Global Times reported on Sunday.
