Kashmiri Pandits organize ‘Street Iftar’ in the heart of Srinagar
Srinagar April 4 : In a heartwarming display of communal harmony, Kashmiri Pandits organized a street Iftar in the historic neighborhood of Bohari Kadal in downtown Srinagar.
Despite the busy roads and wet weather, the distribution of iftar kits was aimed at promoting unity and understanding among people from different backgrounds.
According to news agency – Current News of India (CNI), the distribution of Iftar kits was led by Sandeep Mawa, a Kashmiri Pandit and respected community figure. Mawa is the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Reconciliation Front.
Speaking about the kit distribution, Sandeep expressed his joy at seeing people from all walks of life gather to share food and exchange warm greetings. He stressed the need for such measures to end divisions and promote peace in the region.
Moreover, Sahil, a local, expressed his thoughts about the event saying, “This street Iftar is a beautiful gesture that brings our community closer together. It shows that regardless of our background. Look, we can come together in a spirit of compassion and brotherhood.
