IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi voiced satisfaction with significant growth in Iran-Turkmenistan relations in recent years, especially rise in volume of bilateral trade.
The Iranian president made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Turkmen President Sardar Berdimohamedov.
President Raisi stressed the need to speed up the implementation of the important agreements of the meeting of the joint commission for economic cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, transportation and transit.
He expressed his satisfaction with the significant growth of the relations between the two countries in recent years, especially the increase in the volume of bilateral trade.
While announcing the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of electricity and gas, the President emphasized on the development of cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat in the field of transportation and transit by using the capacity of the southern ports of Iran, including Bandar Abbas and Bandar Chabahar.
