Qom, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has clearly announced that Iran supports resistance groups that fight against global arrogance and play a constructive role in ensuring the security of the Middle East but added that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was a completely independent Hamas decision and action.

Referring to the confirmed documents for the Zionist regime’s internal collapse, Amirabdollahian said on Thursday that the Zionist regime has faced internal collapse while the US and the West have been fully supporting the regime in atrocities in the Gaza enclave for 80 days.

The Zionist regime has not achieved any of its goals such as destruction or disarmament of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, the top Iranian diplomat said, adding that the Zionist regime’s raids on Gaza for 80 days have resulted in nothing but genocide.

He underlined that today, the Palestinian resistance movement has reached a level of capability that the horrific bombings of the Zionist regime have not been able to hamper this capability.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Amirabdollahian referred to the capabilities of resistance movements in the region including Yemen’s Ansarullah, noting that in the recent Gaza war, the Houthis have established a new legal regime in the Red Sea in preventing the crossing of vessels headed to Israeli ports.

Backed by the US, the Zionist regime waged the war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas-led Palestinian Resistance groups carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime’s decades-long campaign of death and destruction in Palestine.

The Israeli aggression has so far killed nearly 21,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Nearly 55,000 people have also been wounded while many bodies remain trapped under rubble.
