Manzoor Bhat Pays Condolences to Family of PDD Inspector

Srinagar, 15 Feb: In a gesture of solidarity and empathy, senior BJP leader Manzoor Bhat visited the residence of Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad in Chattabal, Parimpora, who tragically lost his life due to an electric shock while carrying out repair work in the Parimpora area of Srinagar. The visit was aimed at expressing condolences and offering support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

During his visit, Manzoor Bhat commended the relentless efforts of the Power Development Department (PDD) workers, particularly in the harsh winter conditions of Kashmir. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that all necessary safety equipment and gear are provided to employees engaged in fieldwork to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future. It was noted that the transmission line was reportedly not cut off during the repair work, highlighting the need for a robust communication system between the department and its employees to enhance safety measures.

Furthermore, Manzoor Bhat appealed to the government to expedite the process under the Jammu and Kashmir Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme to provide employment opportunities to the deceased inspector’s next of kin, thereby extending support to the affected family in their time of need.

In addition to Manzoor Bhat, BJP President for Srinagar, Ashok Bhat, also accompanied him during the visit to the residence of Inspector. Both leaders extended heartfelt condolences to the family, expressing deep sorrow and solidarity in their time of grief.
