5 Israeli troops killed in fresh Palestinian retaliation attack

IRNA – Palestinian resistance fighters succeeded in killing five more Israeli troops in recent clashes, and 15 Israeli soldiers were wounded, including two troopers in the Lebanese border area.

The new death toll increased the casualties of Israeli forces to 102 since the onset of their ground invasion, which kicked off on October 27.

The number of Israeli regime’s total death toll since October 7, which marks the beginning of the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm up to now, reached 425.

Some news sources reported that Palestinian resistance fighters destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank during a battle in Gaza.

According to Al Jazeera news network, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which is the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, fired one al-Yassin 105 rocket at the Merkava tank in Tel al-Zaatar area, the northern Gaza Strip.

The al-Qassam Brigades also targeted a special unit of the Israeli army, who took shelter in a building in western Jabalia refugee camp located in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sirens sounded in northern occupied Palestine due to infiltration of Lebanon’s drones.

On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise operation, dubbed Al-Aqsa Storm, outside Gaza after Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in recent days and a record number of Palestinians were killed by the Israeli regime in recent months. The regime responded by pounding the besieged Gaza Strip after formally declaring war against the Palestinian Hamas group, leaving over 17,000 Palestinian martyrs and thousands more injured.
